Engage Moyne Privacy Collection Notice

Moyne Shire Council (Council) is committed to protecting your privacy and is providing this opportunity to deliver feedback electronically for the purposes of engaging with our community.

The feedback will contribute to improving projects and is an opportunity for the experiences of community to be heard and acknowledged.

Council seeks to support Policies, Programs and Services (Projects) that are responsive to gender, biology/environment, location, and diversity.

In this setting, the collection of any demographic information allows for grouping and analysing responses by demography and location of participants. This enables the promotion of gender equality; a main purpose under the Gender Equality Act 2020 (Vic) and aligns with the objects and principles.

Your disclosure of this information helps to ensure we receive feedback from residents and our community. The Local Government Act 2020 (Vic) legislates a Council must adopt a community engagement policy which upholds the principal that participants in community engagement must be representative of the persons and groups affected by the matter that is the subject of the community engagement.

If you choose not to provide this information, you may submit your feedback via mail or phone call in response. You do not need to provide your name to participate in providing feedback.

Your UserName can be a pseudonym. We ask that you do not include any identifying information (about you or anyone else) in your responses. Identifying information includes name, contact information, or other specific details that might allow a person to be identified.

We will take reasonable steps to destroy or permanently de-identify such information inadvertently provided in comments that are published.

We seek to monitor information provided so we can protect the integrity of the discussions from individuals and groups who may attempt to disproportionately influence the outcomes of a consultation and engagement processes.

The data collected will be used to inform summaries of key findings and report on recommendations.

Your responses may be submitted for review and decision of The Council at an Ordinary Council Meeting which is made public. All information will be de-identified.

Aggregated and de-identified data may be provided to a third party service provider for analysis.
