Port of Port Fairy
The historic Port of Port Fairy is a working port used by commercial fishing enterprises and recreational boaters and anglers. Situated on the Moyne River in Port Fairy, the port has berths that can be rented on a casual or more permanent basis.
Some of the commercial operations that use the port include abalone, cray, shark and squid fishing operations, as well as charter boat operators. Recreational users include yachts, recreational anglers and leisure craft, and the picturesque port and wharf area is popular with locals and visitors alike.
The port boasts beautiful bluestone training walls that run along the river's edge out to sea.
The Port of Port Fairy is operated and managed by council, which employs a full-time manager and two other staff to oversee operations.
Facilities available at the port include:
- 24 hour card access to diesel
- Short-term berths
- Vessel slipping facilities
- Boat ramp
- Fish cleaning and BBQ facilities

Port of Port Fairy safety and environmental management plan
The aim of this plan is to present an integrated system for managing and improving environmental and safety performance at the Port of Port Fairy and to promote best practice safety and environmental risk management across all aspects of port activities. Beneficiaries of the plan will be port employees, users, visitors and the wider Victorian community.
