Penalties for having your dog on the beach during the prohibited times are $100 per dog.
The areas of Griffiths Island and Sandy Cove Nature Reserve Are Prohibited to dogs at all times.
The seasonal changes aim to balance the needs of beach goers and dog owners over the busy warmer months.
If you are holidaying with your dog, Moyne Shire recommends that you ensure your dog is wearing a tag with your mobile phone number on it.  If your dog does unfortunately happen to run away, this will assist officers in returning your dog to you in a timely manner.
Dog owners are reminded that they must pick up after their dogs and have effective control of their dog at all times.
