Defend Port Fairy
Moyne Shire Council is working to ‘Defend Port Fairy’, making it more resilient to sea level rise and extreme weather events.
Research has identified areas such as the two old municipal tips at East Beach, the Botanical Gardens, and houses close to East Beach, and South Beach as being at extreme risk of coastal erosion, inundation or wave run-up.
We have developed a discussion paper that provides you with a summary of these and other coastal threats facing Port Fairy.
The discussion paper is available here(PDF, 2MB) and the Port Fairy Coastal Climate Change adaptation plan is available here(PDF, 2MB)
