Celebrate Australia Day with us!
Moyne Shire Council invites you to the 2012 Australia Day community celebration and awards presentation at Yambuk on Thursday, 26 January. Procedings will start at 8am with a free barbecue breakfast at the Yambuk Community Hall on the Princes Highway. The official ceremony will begin at 9.30am and will include an address by Australia Day Ambassador Dr Hass Dellal OAM, award presentations and a citizenship ceremony.

Moyne Shire Council invites eligible local tertiary students to apply for scholarships.
Students commencing a full-time course of study at a Victorian Tertiary Institution in 2012 are eligible to apply for one of three Moyne Shire Academic Support Scholarships to the value of $1500 each.
Students living in or originally from the Port Fairy district who are studying in the science/health science field can apply for a grant from the GlaxoSmithKline Port Fairy Scholarship Trust Fund.

Album focuses on our coastline
Personal snapshots, maps and documents brought to two open house sessions in Port Fairy Coastal Conversations sessions earlier this year have developed into a portrait of the area’s changing coastline. The first step in the 12-month Coastal Climate Change Hazard Assessment project, the sessions invited Port Fairy and district residents to bring in photos and discuss their thoughts, memories and concerns regarding the coastline around Port Fairy.
